About the Teacher - Professional
Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies Class!
This year we will be starting each day with a daily current event. We will focus on Minnesota History and get the opportunity to utilize the Northern Lights digital textbook. The majority of Social 6 will be spent on the discipline of history. We will start with Minnesota beginnings, the fur trade, move to the U.S. Civil War and through WWII. Each unit will emphasize the Minnesota experience.
Families can support their sixth graders' learning at home by:
*Checking homework and signing planners each day
*Monitoring ParentVue for current grades and/or missing work.
In addition to teaching, I am the Milaca Varsity Girls Swimming and Diving Coach, and I help coordinate the Milaca Tsunami Swim Team.
Outside of school, I live in Milaca with my husband and three children that attend Milaca High School.
