Gerald E. Lang
After Lang graduated from Milaca High School in 1970 he earned degrees at the Anoka Vocational Technical Institute and St. Cloud State University. He began a long career in the National Guard in 1972, graduating from many education and training programs including the U.S. Army War College in 2001. From 2001-2004, Lang was commander of the 34th Division Support Command. He served as Deputy Commander of the Multinational Brigade North, a NATO peace-keeping force in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Gerald was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2005. He then served as the Deputy Commanding General for the 34th Infantry (Red Bull) Division in Iraq. As a civilian Lang has distinguished himself in the concrete products industry, working for Bauerly Brothers, Inc., as a general manager and Knife River, Inc., as a vice president.
