The Milaca School District, in compliance to the Minnesota School Immunization Law (Minn. Stats. 121A.15), requires all students to be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) polio, measles, mumps, rubella. Children entering Kindergarten and Seventh grade are also required to be immunized against Hepatitis B. There are two exceptions to the immunization laws: 1. Your child's physician has determined that there is a medical reason not to be immunized. If this is the case you will need to bring a signed physician statement indicating that your child has a "Medical Exemption". 2. If there is a personal reason that you do not wish to have your child immunized, you will have to provide a Notarized statement indicating you have a "Conscientious Objection". This will be kept on file for your child in the health office. There is a person serving as Notary Public here in the District Office.
