Intro. to Psychology *Concurrent Enrollment with St. Cloud State University Teacher: Patti Voigt Grade Level: 11-12 Prerequisite: GPA top 1/3% Juniors; GPA top 1/2 % Seniors Instructor Permission Course Description: This is an Introductory to Psychology course which uses the contemporary scientrific approach. Included in this course is the exploration of the biological bases of human behavior, cognitive mechanisms of the brain, learning/behavioral adaptation, human development from birth to death, social influences on behavior, personality, behavioral disorders, and treatments to maladaptive and abnormal behaviors.
*Students enrolling in this class would also be enrolled in the Introduction of Psychology Course #115 at St. Cloud State University and will receive 3 college credits upon passing the couse. This course will be taught at Milaca High School with visits to St. Cloud State University campus, and SCSU professor visits at MHS.
